Awaaz – Giving a Voice to Mumbai’s Stray Animals
Every day on the streets of Mumbai, countless stray animals face accidents, hunger, illness, and neglect. For many of them, survival depends on how quickly help arrives. Awaaz – Voice of Stray Animals exists to ensure that help is never too far away.
Founded with the belief that compassion must be backed by action, Awaaz has been rescuing, treating, rehabilitating, and protecting stray animals since 2017. From on-spot first aid and emergency ambulance get more info services to long-term rehabilitation and vaccination drives, Awaaz operates with one clear mission: no animal should suffer due to lack of timely care.
Beyond rescues, Awaaz actively works to create awareness and long-term change. Campaigns such as I Brake for Paws, reflective collar drives, school outreach programs, and disaster-relief operations during floods and lockdowns have helped reduce accidents and promote coexistence between humans and animals. During the COVID-19 crisis, Awaaz feeding teams ensured thousands of strays did not go hungry when the city came to a standstill.
What truly powers Awaaz is its community — rescuers, volunteers, donors, and supporters who believe that every life matters. Together, they form a movement that stands up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
As Awaaz continues to grow, its commitment remains unchanged: to be a reliable, compassionate voice for Mumbai’s stray animals — today, tomorrow, and always.
